Alastair MacFarlane, Ph.D. is an experienced management practitioner, consultant and academic who has been active in management for 30 years and in organisational consultancy for 18 years. He studied management and business before working in both the private and public sectors as an operational manager. Returning to study, he took an M.A. degree in Industrial Relations and gained his doctorate focusing on international strategies of human resources management, the research for which he undertook in Southern Africa.
